ABOUT THE EVENT
No one should spend Christmas Day alone
The Gold Coast Community Christmas Lunch (GCCCL) is one of the city’s most meaningful annual traditions. A day dedicated to joy, dignity, and connection for every member of our community.
Hosted at Labrador State School, this free Christmas celebration welcomes more than 2,000 guests each year. It brings together families experiencing hardship, individuals without stable housing, seniors facing isolation, and community members who simply need a place to belong.
What Guests Can Expect
Every attendee is welcomed with dignity, care, and a full Christmas experience, including:
A full sit-down Christmas lunch
Live entertainment and festive music

Volunteers are the heart of the annual Gold Coast Community Christmas Lunch. With more than 2,000 guests attending each year, we rely on compassionate people who want to make a difference on Christmas Day.

Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone with a genuine desire to give back is welcome. Individuals, families, and corporate groups are encouraged to join. No prior experience is needed. What matters most is kindness, reliability, and a commitment to serving others with dignity and respect.
Join Us This Christmas
To support our ability to safely and effectively deliver this Christmas Day event, volunteers are asked to contribute a $25 participation fee. This fee covers a Serving Our People branded volunteer t-shirt and insurance for all volunteer activities.
