“Logistics, Delivery and Emergency Relief”

Serving Our People (SOP) is one of Australia’s fastest-growing charities, built on a powerful belief that no one should face hardship alone. Founded in March 2020 at the height of the global pandemic, SOP began as a grassroots emergency response with a simple mission; to deliver anything to anyone in need.

From day one, our work has been guided by three core pillars: Serve, Collaborate, and Belong. These values continue to shape every decision, partnership, and program we undertake.

What started as a small act of service has grown into a national movement, supported by over 7,000 volunteers across Queensland and New South Wales. Together, we are committed to delivering support, dignity, and compassion to individuals and communities in crisis.

At our core, SOP exists to meet people where they are — addressing urgent needs with practical solutions. Whether it’s food insecurity, housing instability, domestic violence, or social isolation. We responded with 21 tailored programs that provide real, frontline support.

Some of these programs include:

  • The People’s Market (free supermarket)

  • Emergency Relief and Crisis Response

  • Essentials Delivery and Logistics

  • Youth Empowerment Program (SOP-YEP)

  • School Breakfast Programs

  • Domestic Violence Response

  • Free Counselling

As a fully independent nonprofit, fundraising is essential to our operations. We rely on innovative campaigns and strategic partnerships to fuel our growth. Every dollar raised goes directly towards expanding our services. Therefore, allowing us to act faster, reach further, and support more people in more meaningful ways.

But SOP is more than a charity. We are a community. A movement rooted in human connection, powered by people who care. Whether you are a recipient, volunteer, donor, or partner — you belong here. Because real change starts with service. And service begins with all of us.
