In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Queensland’s first free supermarket has expanded to four locations across the Gold Coast and Logan regions, supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship.

MERMAID BEACH – open 5 days, 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday.
Located at: 2582–2584 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach QLD 4218 (entrance on 4–6 Seaview Avenue).

PALM BEACH – open 5 days, 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday.
Located at: 1154 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach QLD 4221.

LOGAN – open 3 days, 10am to 3pm – every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Located at: KENG Tudor Park Recreation Centre, 71–81 Clarks Rd, Loganholme (previously PCYC).

BEENLEIGH – open Thursdays only, 9am to 3pm.
Located at: SOPB, 10–12 James Street, Beenleigh QLD 4207.

This ground-breaking concept, regarded as “The People’s Market”, aims to provide much-needed assistance to those most in need and has become a welcome addition to the state's charitable landscape.

This initiative will allow Gold Coast and Logan locals to collect essential non-perishable groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen meals and household items, that they need, yet cannot afford.

We follow three policies 1) is Honesty Policy, take what you need no questions asked, 2) we will always have an SOP volunteer assisting with the shopping to help and 3) we will have a conversation as well, to better understand how we can additionally help. 

For those interesting in supporting us, we are always looking for non-perishable food donations. Feel free to reach out, or drop off your items to The People’s Market or through our donation boxes which can be found at your local Coles and Woolworths grocery stores.
